Admission in Masters/ PhD in KAIST University Scholarship Program
Masters/PhD Admission : Applications are invited to the Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology for the academic year 2024. The KAIST Scholarship Program has been announced by the institute itself. International candidates who meet the eligible criteria can apply for the KAIST Fully funded Scholarship Program. The Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology is offering scholarships in almost all fields of life. Candidates from all over the world can apply according to their field of interest.
The scholarship’s financial coverage will almost cover all the expenses that are required to cover your degree program in South Korea. The Scholarship is for 2 years for the master’s degree program and for 4 years for the Ph.D. program at KAIST University. Candidates must have obtained Bachelor’s and master’s degrees respectively before August 2023 to apply at KAIST.
Korea Advance Institute of Science and Technology is basically a research-based university in South Korea and KAIST offers scholarships to international candidates twice a year. Candidates who have foreign nationality and do not have Korean citizenship can only apply for the KAIST scholarship Program. Those candidates who do not have English as a native language (Exception is already given to some countries) must require an English proficiency certificate, like IELTS/ TOEFL / TEPS/ TOEIC.
Financial Coverage:
- Upto 94% of international candidates will get support for tuition fees and stipends
- 350,000 KRW monthly stipend will be provided to master candidates
- 400,000 KRW monthly stipend will be provided to the Ph.D. candidates
- Tuition grant for 4 semesters will be provided to master students
- Tuition grants till 10 semesters to the Masters Ph.D. integrated students will be provided
- Tuition gran till 8 semesters to the Ph.D. candidates will be provided

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for the KAIST scholarship Program:
- Only Foreign nationals are eligible to apply for KAIST scholarships
- Korean citizens are not eligible for it
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree for master’s Program
- Candidates must have a master’s degree to do a Ph.D. at KAIST
- Candidates must have English proficiency certificates (exceptions are given to some countries
