Postdoctoral Researcher on Chromatin and Epigenetics in Autoimmune Sex-bias

Postdoctoral Researcher: The Cantone laboratory at the Department of Molecular Medicine and Medical Biotecnology (University Federico II of Naples) is looking for a Postdoctoral candidate to join the group starting at the latest in August 2024. 

The position is full-time year renewable-salary 25400 euros/year with full social coverage) to develop a project on the epigenetics of sex-bias in autoimmune diseases. To this, you will use genomic and imaging techniques for chromatin profiling alongside immunological assays and genome-engineering.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated post-doctoral candidate with a strong background in molecular biology and/or immunology. Possibility to develop both wet and dry lab skills is available within the group. As a Postdoc in our group, you will identify the chromatin-mediated epigenetic mechanisms contributing to the sex-bias in Multiple Sclerosis. The project is grounded our preliminary single-cell analyses and established functional assays.

• PhD in a relevant discipline.

• The ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and develop independence

• Good publication record

• Fluency in written and spoken English
